what is project homegrown?
project homegrown is a visual novel about post-school life for a group of four friends. it will have multiple endings, some romantic (though romance is not the focus). project homegrown is a placeholder name at the moment.
when will it be released?
project homegrown is currently in very early development. this is my first large-scale project, and i want it to be my best. due to personal and school-related constraints, it may take a while for me to complete it. i am writing the story and creating the assets all by myself as well, which will also factor into time taken. at the moment i estimate late 2021 at the earliest.
what will it be made in?/where will it be released?
i plan to make it in ren'py, with additional aspects possibly made in python. at the moment, i am looking to release it on itch.io first.
will it be free?
yes, it will be free. however, i will be releasing an additional fan-pack for around $5, which will include concept art, high-quality assets and backgrounds, and cut scenes/ideas, with commentary.
who are the characters based on?

is this based on real life experiences?
yes.
will there be a demo?
i can't answer that at the moment. it is a very attractive idea, but i'm not sure how much it would include/how it would affect development.
